Sören Weißert practices tax law as a partner in the Frankfurt office of the RGT Group and provided national and international tax consultancy to clients from a wide variety of sectors with a special focus on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), tax auditing and restructuring. 

Sören was born in 1976. After passing the exam as a tax executive ("Steuerfachangestellter"), he continued to pursue advanced studies in this area and successfully graduated in 2004 from the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrueck, specialized in Taxation & Auditing. Later, he worked on two long-term consultancy projects in Cape Town (South Africa) and Accra (Ghana) in the area of taxation and public revenues. From 2006 to 2011, he joined an international auditing and tax consultancy company (Ernst & Young) and worked in Frankfurt am Main/ Eschborn as well as in Reading (United Kingdom), where he was mainly responsible for the consultancy of international tax clients. During this time, he passed the examination to become a Certified Tax Advisor ("Steuerberater") and subsequently completed a "Master of Laws" (LL.M.) degree. In addition he passed the training as a "Specialist Advisor for International Tax Law ("Fachberater für Internationales Steuerrecht" - IStR)". 

In 2020 he has been awarded as "Tax Audit Lawyer of the Year" (Finance Monthly Award). Next to his professional activities, he is an author/ Co-author of several technical articles on taxation, published in national as well as international magazines. 

Sören joined the RGT Group in 2011 and was appointed as a partner in 2014.
